The next World Cup will be held in Shanghai ,China on 2018. This matter was decided at International Meeting of 5th World Tournament in Japan on November 2016. President Matsushima visited Beijin China. He was invited from Beijin Karate Federation. Before few days it was snow in Beijin,so there were blue sky in Beijin. And also he visited the Great Wall of China.

Two tournaments were organized in Dnipro at the same location on April 8th 2017: Ukrainian open kyokushinkaikan karate championship (IKO Matsushima) in kumite among men and women, and Ukrainian Open Kyokushinkaikan Karate tournament among youth (12-17 y.o. boys).

RING KARATE 2017
As part of preparation for Asian Pacific Championship in May 2017,IKO Matsushima Indonesia IKKA held thirteen bouts of kumite in a ring on 26 th February.Surprisingly the event drew a large number of participants as well as spectators,although it is located in a rather remote building in Banten province.
The fights were exciting to watch and went well.

I.K.O. Matsushima Croatia Kyokushin Karate Tournament ”14th Domenica Cup”
International Open Kyokushin Karate Tournament ‘’14th Domenica Cup’’ was held in Sveta Nedelja on March 11, 2017 in organization of I.K.O. Matsushima Kyokushinkaikan Croatia and Kyokushin Karate Club ‘‘Domenica’’ Sveta Nedelja.
The main sponsors of the tournament were the Prefect of the Zagreb County Mr. Stjepan Kožić and Mayor of the city of Sveta Nedelja Mr. Drago Prahin.

On tournament participated:
• 40 teams from different organization with total number of 280 competitors from kids to adults
• 78 competitors in 8 categories of Kata competition
• 220 competitors in 31 categories of Kumite competition
• 13 countries (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Netherland, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine …

Winter camp was held in Poland on 20-24th February 2017

“On the 4th of February, Karate Syd of the Swedish I.K.O. Matsushima branch conducted a public demonstration in downtown Lund to display the power of Sosai Oyama’s karate. A local Shotokan karate club also participated, in a show of friendship and kinship between different styles of karate and a common devotion to the Budo way. The children of I.K.O. Matsushima Sweden engaged in tameshiwari, which is always especially popular with the public.
