The 6th I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA WORLD WEIGHT KYOKUSHIN KARATE TOURNAMENT will be held in Maebashi city, Gunma pref. Japan on 29th,30th Nov.2025.

The tournament are scheduled to be held on 29th & 30th November 2025 on behalf of NPO I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA Kyokushinkaikan. We also have the international meeting, the training class and Dan grading test on 1st December.

From June 5 to June 17 we had the privilege of having Shihan Rex (European Chairman)and Shihan Lukyanchikov(European Vice-Chairman) in Chile, with whom we arranged a winter tour from the south and north of Chile, giving seminars as well as teaching classes in the Dojos of Santiago.
It has been a great experience for all the members of IKO Matsushima Chile, as well as a true reflection of our teachers and continuing growth as a world organization encouraging us to continue working together and to be able to reflect all the Budo that they transmitted to us.

The Brazilian Kyokushin Karate Championship, organized under the Brazil Matsushima Organization (Sensei Renata Borba) and Sensei Luciano Pedrosa (Ichiban Dojo), was successfully held on June 28, 2025.
The event gathered athletes from several regions of Brazil, with competitions in both Kata and Kumite, and it was marked by strong spirit (Osu no Seishin), discipline, and respect among all participants.

Summer Camp was held in the town of Hualpin, a Mapuche Community of Puyehue lagoon around 705 kms south of Santiago, where associated dojos from all over the country enthusiastically participated. The summer camp was held on February 21 – 22 and 23, 2025.

This activity was programmed by senpai Salvador Manquepil and Senpai Julio Blanco, both belonging to the Mapuche people.
In sacred Mapuche land, we could feel and experience the real spirit of our beloved Kyokushin Karate.
Throughout the three days of this camp, we also evaluated kyu belt exam, going through our whole IKO Matsushima Chile programme.

The I.K.O. Matsushima Kyokushin Karate Indian Summer Training Camp –2025 was held from May 20th to May 24th, 2025, in New Digha, under the esteemed presence of European Chairman Shihan Klaus Rex,along with two-time World Champion from Ukraine, Sensei Maksym Maksymov.
The camp was proudly attended by participants from the Indian states of Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, reflecting a spirit of national collaboration and unity.
Hosted by Shihan Bejoy Kr. Dhara, this year’s Indian Summer Camp welcomed approximately 130 students from across India, who came together to train and cherish the experience of being under the guidance of such honorable and well known Karateka’s.

On October 26, the Kumite and Kata IKO Matsushima competitions were held in Narva (Estonia). Karatekas from 3 countries – Estonia, Latvia and Ukraine – met on the tatami. Children and young men and women took part in the Kumite section, and there was also a category for adult women in the Kata section. The tournament was organized and held by the Branch Chief of Estonia, Sensei Shamil Guseynov 4 Dan. The tournament was attended by the honorary guest, Branch Chief of Ukraine, Shihan Sergey Lukyanchikov 7 Dan.
On October 27, the traditional seminar of Shihan Sergey Lukyanchikov 7 Dan for black belts in Kata IKO Matsushima was held.

The tournament was held in Costa Rica on 12th and 13th October 2024.
Katana Kappu in its Third Edition. It was leaded by IKO Matsushima Costa Rica taking place in Pérez Zeledón, in the modalities of Kata and Kumite with the participation of 19 Costa Rican organizations of contact karate and international delegations such as Chile, Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Mexico and the United States of America. The award ceremony of Dan Grading which took place in Dec.2023 was held on 16th March 2024.The emotional ceremony was held at the municipal gymnasium of Conchalí,Chile and was masterfully conducted by the respected Shihan Claudio Toledo and Francisco Sandoval. Additionally, in the northern region of our country, a similar ceremony took place under the direction of the esteemed Shihan Freddy Segovia.
The graduation encompassed a broad spectrum of achievements, from 1st Dan to 6th Dan.

IKO Matsushima World Camp was held in Hacienda Picarquin Park on 11th Dec.2024. The camp venue situated 64km from Santiago. Dan grading test was held on 12th Dec. 48 members participated at Dan test for 1st-Dan ~ 8th-Dan. Return back to Santiago on 13th Dec.

IKO Matsushima 6th Karate World Cup was held at Victor Jara Stadium in Santiago,Chile on 9th,10th December 2023. Kata category started at AM 9:30 and International Open Cup was held at AM 11:30. World Cup Kumite category started at PM4:00. 2nd Day of World Cup started at PM1:00.
The venue was filled with excitement.

IKO MATSUSHIMA 6th KYOKUSHIN KARATE WORLD CUP was held in Santiago,Chile on 9th,10th December 2023. And also KATA WORLD CUP and International Open Cup were held. The place was Victor Jara Stadium. The world cup event run from 8th till 13th December 2023. The World Camp was held at Hacienda Picarquin Park. Big team from Australia, South Africa and Ukraine from outside South American countries took part and everybody sent cheers at exciting games.

I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA KYOKUSHINKAIKAN; Vice President; South Pacific Chairman ;Hanshi John Taylor passed away on 27th Sep.2023
Though Hanshi has been fighting an illness, the day of final farewell suddenly arrived.
He has been contributed for the development of I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA for over 25 years.
He was one of pioneer of Kyokushin Karate and greatest master. He was a great personality and all Karateka respected him.
I hereby pray for his soul’s peace.

The world cup event will run from Friday 8th till Wednesday 13th of December 2023.
The registration fee for competitors is 100 USD. Please bear in mind that you must bring the medical certificate to the weigh-in on Friday 8th.
