I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA the 8th European Kyokushin Karate Championship was held on 12th October 2013 in Donetsk, Ukraine. The competition was hosted by I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA Ukrainian Karate Kyokushinkaikan Association and it was the second tournament of such level held in Donetsk. This time fighters from 19 countries(include China,Iran,Kazakhstan,South Africa,Russia) had arrived to compete for the title of Champion of Europe and representatives from 28 attended the tournament.
We were honored to see the President Yoshikazu Matsushima of International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan , Vice-president of IKO Hanshi ;John Taylor, North-American Chairman;Shihan Roman Szyrajew and Chairman of European Kyokushin Karate Organisation; Shihan Klaus Rex as our honorable guests during European Championship as well as during Judge and Training seminars.
More than 170 sportsmen went through tense struggle to show their spirit and strength during the fights on tatami. We were very glad that this European Championship gathered that much fighters of high level of training and will for victory.
