BELT TESTS AT IKO MATSUSHIMA CHILE HOMBU DOJO
On July 7th the Chilean IKO Matsushima 25th belt test was held at Hombu Dojo in Santiago, Chile. Students were asked to fulfill different and exhausted physical and technical tests for more than 5 hours where the Kyoksuhin spirit and strength was shown and displayed.

On 25th and 26th May in Iquique, 1,800 kilometers from the Capital of Chile Training sessions and exams were held with more than 70 participants from Iquique and Antofagasta – a nearby city – including students from all ages (children, teenagers and adults) attended. The 25th North India karate & Adventure Summer Camp 2013 was held in the wondrous mountains of Nainital, Uttarakhand in India. The camp was held from the 1st June to the 6th June and 80 disciples attended which included 10 Shodans and 1 Nidan. The training was conducted in the mountains, the rivers as well as under waterfalls was held to give the disciples a new experience of training.
Other activities such as rock climbing, trekking and camping were also conducted and certificates given to broaden the horizons of the disciples to the world.

The 2013 New South Wales Australian Kyokushin Karate Association Full Contact Championships were for the first time in over twenty year held in Sydney and what a successful move that proved to be, with well over 50 fighters in the draw, it was the largest number of fighters in a New South Wales event since its conception. On Saturday 1st June 2013 the IKO Matsushima Chile National Tournament was held at the Sport Gymnasium in La Serena city , 4th Region 94 athletes from IKO Matsushima Dojos from all over the country were present in this important event including Seiwakai Dojo and IKO Union from Santiago and La Serena as well.
Children, female and men fights were performed in 13 different weight categories and also special super senior fight categories with 64 and 65 year old athletes.
