On the 20th anniversary of Mas Oyama/ Mukashi no Sosai’s death the 3rd Spirit Training
Camp – Oyama Kinen Gassuko will be held in his memory at the Bosei Budo High School in
Denmark and it is with great joy and pride that we announce Hanshi John Taylor’s participation
in the spirit camp as invited instructor.
The 2014 Oyama Spirit Camp is a memorial event for Sosai Oyama’s Training and fighting
spirit and the camp is supervised by Oyama-karate Kyokushin Denmark.

UAE IKO MATSUSHIMA CAMP was held from 28th Nov.to 2nd Dec.2013.Presenting a joint venture camp with UAE IKO Matsushima and Kettlebell Fitness Federation, the aim was to plan and prepare the fighters’ physically, and increase their stamina condition for kumite.
This camp concentrated on strength training, functional training, and KUMITTE technical training. KATA seminar Training was also included.From Iran,Georgia several Shihan attended with instractors.

I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA the 8th European Kyokushin Karate Championship was held on 12th October 2013 in Donetsk, Ukraine. The competition was hosted by I.K.O.MATSUSHIMA Ukrainian Karate Kyokushinkaikan Association and it was the second tournament of such level held in Donetsk. This time fighters from 19 countries had arrived to compete for the title of Champion of Europe and representatives from 28 attended the tournament.

On 2-7 July 2013 “Ukrainian Budo Camp of IKO Matsushima” was held. There were three sessions a day. Participate in the training camp instructor: Alexei Mitrofanov (1 dan Krivoy Rog), Tkachev Valeriy (1 dan Dnepropetrovsk), Anton Zhirunov (1Specification Novomoskovsk), Irina Petrenko (2 dan Kiev), Ruslan Nikulyak (1-kyu Dnipropetrovsk) Zemcov Taras (1 kyu Krivoy Rog).
On 7 July the Dan & Kyu test was carried out.

Ｔhe 9th China Kyokushin Karate Open Tournament which will be held in Nanjing, China on OCTOBER 1 – 3 2013.
This year we are looking forward to meeting fighters and members from various countries in Nanjing again. And we have invited another top kyokushin master Hanshi John Taylor 9 dan to represent our 9th China Kyokushin Open Tournament.

I visited Myanmar first time. I was surprised at Yangon’s energy and traffic jam. After the tournament we started for the tour of Bagan by Express Bus at PM19:00.

The 4th MATSUSHIMA Cup 2013 Myanmar Kyokushin Karate Tournament was held in Yangon on 18th May 2013. President Matsushima attended at the tournament first time. Instructors performed the various demonstrations. At this season Yangon’s temperature is most high. It become over 38c,so the open ceremony started at AM8:00. The 5 TV media reported.

The first seminar by President Matsushima was held on 17th May 2013 in Yangon,Myanmar. He visited Myanmar first time. The temperature rise above 38 degrees in the daytime. Though the seminar started early morning,the Dojo was filled with hot air and students’s enthusiasm.
From PM16:00 Dan test started.

On 21st Apr.2013 President Matsushima had the seminar after Dojo Open Ceremony in Indonesia.

President Matsushima and Vice president John Taylor officially opened new main Dojo in BSD city,Banten province, Indonesia on 20th Apr.2013. A ceremony was held with senior masters of Karate and guests. After then instractors and students joined at the party.The 1st South-East Asian Championships was held in Jakarta on 1981.President Matsushima showed demonstration at that time.He could met with senior masters again gladly.
At the same time Indonesia Kyokushin Karate Association(I.K.K.A) was just announced officially.
On April 23rd 2013, the day when President and Madam Matsushima were flying back to Japan,we held a small birthday party for him,during lunch.

On 23rd September 2012,black belt holders of Indonesian Kyokushin Karate Association ( IKKA )held an initial training in Jakarta.
As a new member of IKO Matsushima,IKKA ,which declared itself on 9th September 2012,is trying to reach a higher standard of training,establish better dojos with more facilties,build a more democratic environment ,a transparent system and procedure of administration and finance.
