IKKA IKO MATSUSHIMA KATA MINI TOURNAMENT
On 11 May 2014 IKO Matsushima Indonesia IKKA held a mini tournament containing Kata championship for the first time.
The atmosphere was so tense that although doing some basic Kata such as Taikyoku some of the competitors were trying hard to overcome their nervousness.It was a good challenge and experience for the youngsters.
By doing such competition,we hope that deeper meaning of Kata and better understanding of basic techniques can be learnt.

” I.K.O. Matsushima honbu in Sweden – Karate Syd – has participated in the competiton BS Cup in Denmark April 5th. The troop consisted of 23 competitors between 7 and 45 years old, and 22 cheerleaders who traveled in a crowded bus to Denmark. Six girls and 18 children were among the participants.

“BS Cup 2014″ was held with great success.
More than 180 fighters can be proud of themselves and their performances at this year’s BS Cup, which was held in Copenhagen, Denmark this past weekend. Just by entering and competing in the event is a great victory for the individual karate-ka. By having enough courage to step onto the fighting mat, maybe for the first time, and face an opponent, in front of many spectators, has put his or her own fears aside and exhibited great courage and strong spirit.

6th IKO Matsushima “Golden Ring of Russia” was held in town Ivanovo (Russia) on March 30th. Ukrainian Kyokusinkaikan Karate Federation (branch Chief Volynets Dmytro, 5th dan) was represented by two sportsmen from Donetsk regional branch: Kondratenko Egor and Zvonyk Dan. Kondratenko Egor has won first place in the age group 10-11 years old, weight category over 45 kg.

2014 IKO Matsushima Kyokushin Challenge Open Tournament, held in Renton, Washington, USA on April 5th. We had 68 fighters between kids semi-contact and adult full-contact knockdown fighting. We also had a kata competition for the first time, with a total of 25 competitors split between novice and experienced karateka. We had great support from our own Kyokushin dojos, as well as other dojos from around Washington, Oregon, Utah, and Nevada. We were happy to be able to bring Shihan Roman out this year for the tournament, and are looking forward to his seminar tomorrow as well. Iko Matsushima Gold Cup 2014 was held in Canada on March 29th 2014.Over 350 participants at the tournament for katas, kumite, in semi-contact and in knockdown we had 30 . worked hard with George and Dominic Ohan to have a great venue.

IKO Matsushima Croatia Kyokushin Karate Tournament ”11th Domenica Cup”
International Open Kyokushin Karate Tournament ‘’11th Domenica Cup’’ was held in Samobor on March 15, 2014 in organization of Croatian Kyokushinkai Union and hosting by IKO Matsushima Kyokushinkaikan Croatia and Kyokushin Karate Club ‘‘Domenica’’ Sveta Nedelja.
The main sponsor of the tournament was the Prefect of the Zagreb County mr.sc. Stjepan Kožić.
On tournament, 39 teams with 270 competitors from 6 organizations (IBK, IFK, WKF, Shinkyokushin, Kyokushin Kan and IKO Matsushima) from 12 countries (Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Denmark, Russia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Israel and Croatia were competed in 8 of Kata and 29 of Kumite categories from kids to adults.
