Summer training camp of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation was held on June 23rd-30th, 2019. This year it was located at the recreation center “Hrinnyky” on the bank of the Hrinnyky water reservoir. 150 sportsmen of Shihan Dmytro Volynets’s branch participated in the camp.
Training consisted of morning running, detailed kata and kihon training, pair work, sparring, and fights combinations training. Instructors were Shihan Dmytro Volynets (Lutsk), Sensei Dmytro Golovin (Dnipro), Sensei Oleksandr Bachurin (Lviv), Sensei Andriy Gavryliuk (Brovary), Sensei Vadym Shumik (Lutsk), Sensei Vasyl Shevchuk (Lutsk).
Thanks to the training our sportsmen successfully passed ku-tests at the end of the camp.

FIST ANNUAL DAN AND KYU TEST AT MATSUSHIMA NORTHERN AREA IN CHILE
Last June 09 was held on Iquique- Chile, the first annual Kyu Test at IKO Matsushima Northern Area with the participation of Students from 6 years old on. Children and adults gave all the tests required to qualify and obtained their first belts in an intense grading activity that lasted more than 4 hours. In this opportunity Shodan and Nidan tests were also held were the applicants had to go through all technical and physical requisites ending with 20 and 30 kumite test.

THIRD MATSUSHIMA NORTHERN AREA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT WAS HELD IN IQUIQUE, CHILE
On June 1 the Third National Open Karate Matsushima Northern Area Tournament was held with the participation of more than 60 competitors from 5 to 54 years old and from different cities from the north, central and southern regions of Chile – IKO IFK, IKO Matsui and IKO Matsushima were present in this martial art event.
The Tournament took place for the third time in Alto Hospicio, a new emerging city 35 kilometers from Iquique, the capital of the First Region located in the middle of the Atacama desert, the driest desert in the world.

Zakarpattia regionIKO Matsushima Kyokushinkaikan karate championship was held in picturesque Ukrainian town Mukachevo on 13th April 2019.
The tournament gathered 240 sportsmen from 7 towns of 5 regions (Dnipro, Lutsk, Kovel, Lviv, Uzhgorod, Brovary, Mukachevo), that represented 10 clubs. The competition was divided in two categories: for beginners and for experienced sportsmen.

Ukrainian championship among children and juniors was held in Lutsk on 23rd March 2019. This year Volyn region hosted 250 sportsmen from 10 regions of Ukraine. As always, the competition was organized by Volyn region branch of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan karate Federation. There were two championship disciplines: kumite and kata. Sportsmen competed in 27 categories.
