On the 20th anniversary of Mas Oyama/ Mukashi no Sosai’s death the 3rd Spirit Training
Camp – Oyama Kinen Gassuko will be held in his memory at the Bosei Budo High School in
Denmark and it is with great joy and pride that we announce Hanshi John Taylor’s participation
in the spirit camp as invited instructor.
The 2014 Oyama Spirit Camp is a memorial event for Sosai Oyama’s Training and fighting
spirit and the camp is supervised by Oyama-karate Kyokushin Denmark.

We would like to extend our heartiest greetings to you and would like to bring to your kind attention that we will be holding our 22nd North India Karate and Adventure Summer Camp 2014 from 1st to 6th June 2014. During the camp we shall also be hosting the 17th North India Karate Instructor Camp.

“Karate Syd, I.K.O. Matsushimas Swedish honbu had 5 years anniversary this year 24 th Februari. We celebrated with cake and hard training.
Hard work and genuine Kyokushin Seishin has led to a stable membership numbers around 120 persons.
Karate Syd IF – I.K.O. Matsushima Sweden honbu – was awarded the price for best youth association at the second annual Sport Gala in Lund on March 7, 2014. The aim of the Sport Gala is to honour great achievements by athletes, sport associations and organisations in Lund municipality. Karate Syd IF attended the gala with one of the largest troops; in total 37 participants.

On March 15th in township Novyy Svit (Donetsk region) was held a traditional tournament called “Hopes of Kyokushin”. More than 180 competitors took part in the event from different cities of Donetsk region and Ukraine. The tournament took place at a sport palace of Starobeshevo, and thanks to the organisers the tournament went on a very high level.

IKO Matsushima Croatia Kyokushin Karate Tournament ”11th Domenica Cup”
International Open Kyokushin Karate Tournament ‘’11th Domenica Cup’’ was held in Samobor on March 15, 2014 in organization of Croatian Kyokushinkai Union and hosting by IKO Matsushima Kyokushinkaikan Croatia and Kyokushin Karate Club ‘‘Domenica’’ Sveta Nedelja.
The main sponsor of the tournament was the Prefect of the Zagreb County mr.sc. Stjepan Kožić.
On tournament, 39 teams with 270 competitors from 6 organizations (IBK, IFK, WKF, Shinkyokushin, Kyokushin Kan and IKO Matsushima) from 12 countries (Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Denmark, Russia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Israel and Croatia were competed in 8 of Kata and 29 of Kumite categories from kids to adults.

25 January in the Sorocaba city, Brasil, held Technical Kyokushinkaikan Karate Seminar with Shihan Nagata. Present teachers from different cities and representatives of branches.
23 February, in Sorocaba City, state of São Paulo, Brasil, Nagata Dojo, there was Special Training designed prepare athletes for the World Tournament. 03 hours of training were: Mitt, Sparring and Kumite Techniques, with spirit Kyokushinkaikan.

02/16/2014 Stage Karate Kyokushinkai was held at the Paladonbosco of Corigliano d’Otranto,Italy. It was directed by Shihan T. Nicoletti IKO Matsushima Italy Branch , with Shihan Casto and Shihan Rosati. This event has been awarded the Certificate of V DAN at Rosati Gaetano, who carried out the examination in Ukraine in 2013, which lasted about 8 hours, on the occasion of the European Championships IKO Matsushima.
They were also awarded the Certified International Referee at Sensei Centonze L. , Sensei Puce A., Senpai Greco R.

The 5th Winter Camp of IKO Matsushima Kyokushinkaikan Croatia was held from 10th to 12th of January 2014.
Without snow this year, but as usual, very substantive spent three days in training and various activities.
The goal of the camp was preparation for the upcoming competition season. Camp was conducting 6 different trainings from basic techniques with kihon and kata to combat techniques and kumite.
A special addition in the training was handling, movement and self-defense with nunchaku and bo.
Training took place in sports hall, gym and weight room. Early morning training sessions were held outside.

I.K.O. Matsushima Sweden has held the belt ceremony on Sunday, January 19, 2014.
More than 55 students who have graduated in December 2013 got their new belts and grades. Shihan Henry Rosager from Denmark and Professor Lennarth Thörnqvist from Sweden attended the ceremony as our VIP guests.
After the ceremony all students – 4 years old up to 52 years old – trained together a 45 minutes Kihon-cardio session with sensei Mehdi Nabahi as instructor.
After that Shihan Henry Rosager had his lesson for us, the theme was sabaki.
This ceremony counts as a kick off for the spring semester.
