IKO Matsushima Kyokushinkaikan’s 5th European Summer Training Camp was another essential success!

From Tuesday July 23rd till Saturday 27th 2013 IKO Matsushima members from 15 countries participated in this year’s EKO-camp.
The camp was conducted by IKO Matsushima Italy in the Borgo Cardigliano resort in the extraordinary surroundings of the Salento peninsula.

Trainings

1. The training started every day at 6.30am taught by EKO-Senseis

2. The second practice was held from 9.30am in two 75 minutes modules under the instruction of the Shihans

3. The third teaching session was also master classes conveyed from 4pm in the afternoon in two 75 minutes modules

The Match Official seminar was conducted at 9.15pm and was compulsory for all black belts only. The seminar consisted of a 2 hours practical training and instruction for corner judges and referees, both in Kumite and Kata. At the end of the camp a test was held for both Head Referees and Corner Judges.

The camp offered 30 Master Classes were given by Shihans Roman Szyrajev, Gabriel Barluenga, Jozsef Borza, Sergey Lukyanchikov and I.

Divided into 5 groups:

Senseis – San-dan & Yon-dan

New Yudansha – Sho-dan & Ni-dan

Higher Mudansha – Brown Belts

Middle Mudansha – Yellow & Green

New Mudansha (Kyu grades) – Beginners

On Thursday 25th we left for the beach 6.30am, where we had a longer session, consisting in general Training all together under the instruction all Shihans and Senseis

The KUMITE judges and referee seminar was arranged and operated by Shihans Shihan Lukyanchikov-Levitin, Shihan Borza, Shihan Szyrajev, Shihan Barluenga and I

The KATA judges and referee instruction is being developed by Shihan Gabriel Barluenga, Shihan Sergey Lukyanchikov-Levitin, Sensei Vladimir Sekelj with me as secretary

I wish to thank Shihan Tommaso Nicoletti and Shihan Samuele Casto, Sensei Luciano Centonze, Senpai Massimo Zocco, Senpai Robert Greco, Sensei Antonio Puce and all the families and friends for their hard work and patience in making this camp come together and for their affectionate hospitality during all the European –and Canadians stay in Italy.
