SEMINAR IKO MATSUSHIMA CHILEON SEPTEMBER 5 -SANTIAGO
On September 5th was held our second IKO MATSUSHIMA CHILE Technical Seminar. Sensei Claudio Toledo, was in charge of organizing this event with the participation of Matsushima Northern Area Branch Chief Sensei Freddy Segovia, more than 40 participants shared more than 7 hours of pure Kyokushin spirit emphasizing the importance of working from the very beginning the basic techniques – Kihon Geiko – Idogeiko and katas. Group methodology was used to go through checking from hand blocks and legs techniques, presenting these techniques with rest o group while moving forward and backwards – Idogeiko – and also performing formal exercises – Katas – according to the level of the students .
Groups divided by different levels and in charge of a black belt instructor worked intensively on specific tasks given that they had to present and be evaluated in front of the rest of the participants and Sensei in charge who corrected the methodology and teaching techniques used by each instructor.
Instructors from different parts of the country were present where some of them travelled more than 1400 kilometers to be participate in this important event.
At the closing of this activity Sensei Claudio Toledo stressed his words on the importance of having these instances more often keeping in mind that Kyokushin Karate is far more than only Kumite and exercises to increase fighting skills.
