So called “Rainy State, Oregon”, fortunately we were blessed with very nice blue sky since early morning. Meyer Denny Doyle of Beaverton City was welcoming for everybody, then Mr. Hirofumi Murabayashi, Deputy Consul General of Japan addressed. Finally Kancho Matsushima greeted to all and encouraged fighters. There are many participants including other styles, one lady was 60 years old who fought very hard received lots of complements from audience. There were quite few Japanese children learning Karate and living with their family in this area. Their mothers were helping and supporting the tournament by preparing Sushi, Yakisoba noodle, and selling Japanese lunch.

March 28th, we had a seminar in the morning and a dan-testing in the afternoon.
